We are CCE of Suffolk – We have been here for you, your neighbors, and your families since 1917.
CCE-Suffolk serves Suffolk County through our agriculture, marine, community education, and 4-H youth development programs. We are educators, researchers, specialists, and volunteers dedicated to our mission of preserving our county's vast heritage, protecting our eco-systems, supporting families, and providing our youth opportunities for community service and research-based education in science, technology, engineering, and math. (STEM) To accomplish our mission, we collaborate with researchers, all levels of government, Cornell University, non-profits, and community groups to bring innovative programs and services to Suffolk County. Regardless of who you are and whatever you do, chances are that CCE of Suffolk has a program for you.

Located on the Peconic Bay, our program promotes sailing, seamanship, and sportsmanship. Our options for your young sailors include a full “season pass” of sailing all summer or two, three, or four-week programs to fit into busy summer schedules.
Please start the process here if you want to apply for membership or register your child for our weekly programs.
Applications from the parent or guardian of your youth sailors or those applying as adults will be reviewed, and our Commodore will contact you to review our offerings. Once your application is approved you will receive a welcome email with registration instructions. A Family Membership is required for children ages 7 to 18 to take Full Season sailing lessons. Riverhead Summer Recreation Early Registration for returning campers is open beginning Monday, April 1st. Our office at the new Town Hall is located on the 2nd floor, and our hours are 8:30am-4:30pm. As of April 15th, we will open the remaining camp spots to new resident campers and returning non-resident campers. As of April 22nd, all remaining camp spots will be open on a first come first served basis and registration will stay open until all spots are filled.
All registration forms can be dropped off at the Recreation Department office located at 4 West Second St. at the new Town Hall. Forms can also be mailed to 4 West Second St. Riverhead, NY 11901 Attn: Liz/Rec. If all paperwork is completed and emailed to keller@townofriverheadny.gov, we will accept payment by phone. If you intend to register prior to your child's scheduled physical, please know that you are permitted to register, but your camper may attend without the updated physical.
