Teen Views on the News:

Registration Now Open for Southampton Youth Bureau’s Community Service Program

The Southampton Youth Bureau is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the "Teen Views on the News" program—an exciting opportunity for young people to gain hands-on media experience while earning community service credits.

In this program, participants will build skills in interviewing, crafting credible stories, and producing content for television and other media platforms. A partnership with Southampton Local TV Studio, based at the Southampton Cultural Center, provides opportunities to be an anchor, reporter, director, or sound and lighting engineer in a real TV studio. Last year’s program produced features on the Community Preservation Fund, the Hamptons Pride Parade, and even The Oscars.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to share your perspective and make your voice heard!

The program begins on Thursday, October 10th, with weekly meetings held on Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays. Open to students in grades 7-12, "Teen Views" provides a platform for creative expression and practical skill-building in a fun, supportive environment.

Pre-registration is required, and transportation is available upon request. For more information or to register, please call (631) 702-2425 or visit www.southamptontownny.gov/YBpayment.
