DIY Water Bottle Bowling

My family and I just got home from a wonderful, week long camping trip. We were upstate in the Adirondacks of Saranac Lake, NY and other than the time we went into town, we were completely disconnected from the outside world. It was a nice trip that I recommend to everyone! The kids played games, roasted marshmallows on the fire each night, spent most days swimming, canoeing, and kayaking in the lake. My 9 and 6 year-old even made some friends from other campsites and tried paddle boarding for first time!

Then the vacation is over. You get home and you're surrounded by the mounds of laundry that accumulated over the week. On top of that, the humidity is intense this week making it too hot to enjoy yourself outside, especially with a young toddler. So I searched for some ideas, something new that could keep her occupied with me, while tackling that mountain that came home with us. We had a lot of empty water bottles, so I made water bottle bowling. It was a hit!! We grabbed a few different balls, some heavier, some a little softer, and tried them all out. She had so much fun knocking them down again and again!!

All you need it 6 to 10 water bottles and a ball. Super easy activity to do, when your stuck inside because of the heat (or cold).
